Banana Cookie Recipe

Banana cookie recipe.....I love bananas and I love cookies. Put them together and here is a simply delicious and easy kids cookie recipe. These are great for a kids birthday party and usually get gobbled up!

How to make Banana Cookies

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 - 12 minutes
Serves: Makes about 16.

Equipment:
Medium saucepan + wooden spoon
2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper
Cooling rack

Banana Cookie Recipe Ingredients:

50g butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup or light corn syrup
1 medium banana, mashed
125g rolled oats
75g self-raising flour
25g caster sugar
1 medium egg, beaten
75g raisins

Method:

Preheat the oven to 160°C/350°F/ gas mark 4 and grease and line the two baking sheets with baking parchment.
Melt butter and syrup in a saucepan over a low heat.
Stir in the remaining ingredients in the order listed.
Put tablespoons of the banana cookie mixture onto the greased baking sheets and flatten slightly with a fork.
Cook for 10-12 minutes until just golden.
Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
