Submit Your Cake Here

Entering is Easy

Please submit your cake explanation and pictures using the guidelines below:

You do NOT have to have made the perfect cake. This competition is open to EVERYONE.

* Each cake submission must contain:
1 or more cake images plus a description of how the cake was made.

* All cake images must be original and not copied from another source. If you are submitting a cake on behalf of a family member or friend, then please state that in your submission and you must have their permission.

* Cakes do NOT have to look perfect. In fact I prefer to recognise that a cake is homemade than something that looks absolutely perfect. EVERYONE has a chance of winning.

* Your cake must have been created and designed by you. It is OK to use a plain shop bought cake as a base but the overall design must be your own.

* Your cake description should be a minimum of 100 words and should include a few details of who the cake was for, the idea behind the design plus some simple instructions on how you made it. This will help readers to easily recreate your fabulous cake!

How to Prepare Your Images

For some people this is the hardest bit but it needn't be as I'll show you a quick and easy way to do it.

I want your cake to look its best and it makes it easier for me to judge it.

Two things you need to do:

#1. Crop It. Choose your best cake picture (maximum of 3) and crop it so that the cake image takes up most of the space and sits in the center of the picture.

#2. Re-size your picture so that it is not too big on the screen and so that its file size is not too large (otherwise it might not load). For the physical size 500 pixels wide is usually about right.

Now you can do the above with any photo editing program that you have on your computer.

If you don't have a program to use, then try PicResize. It's FREE and is very simple to use.
