Doll Cake

Cake was made for a 6 year old - daughter to a work colleague.

Very simple cake. Made sponge in a pyrex bowl. When the cake cooled, cut in half and added buttercream.

Sunk doll into sponge, and moulded marzipan to make a skirt. Took a "ready rolled" sheet of icing and cut a hole in middle. Placed fondant over the doll to make a floaty skirt. Coloured fondant with pink paste. Made top of dress and pattern on dress.

Used flower cutter, cut flowers, glued into place. Added pink sugar balls. Rolled white fondant into sausage and placed it off shoulders to make straps.

Added edible glitter to make her sparkle.
