The cake was for my son who was turning 3. He is crazy about the movie 'How to train your dragon'.

I baked four square cakes, and cut the shapes out for the head, body and tail. (I drew a picture before I started to make sure I knew what shapes I wanted.)

I glued them together with caramel and then poured a chocolate icing (made up of 1.5kgs of chocolate and 1 packet of icing sugar) over the top of the cake.

I then used liquorice for the claws and plastic icing for the horns and eyes. I painted the eyes with food colouring and the horns with melted chocolate.

The wings were plastic, I cut the shapes out of old file covers.
