This game is basically the reverse of hide-and-seek and can be played indoors or outdoors.
How to play:
Choose one person to hide. The rest of the people will go someplace else where they will not see the hider (like outside or in a different room) and count to whatever number they choose to (if it's a bigger house or area, count to a higher number). Once the seekers are done counting, they go and find the hider individually. Once a seeker finds the hider, they try to squish in with them (if the person hides in a really confined space like under a sink, the seekers can hide nearby). The round ends when all of the seekers are squished with the hider like sardines. The person who found the hider first will hide the next round.
What you need:
Players and space.
How to play:
You need 2+ players (the more players, the more fun). This is a game to be played in the dark. One person is the shark and s/he goes off to hide in the dark whilst the other players count to 60 in another room. Once they get to 60, they must set off to try and find the shark. The trick, is for the shark to grab the other players as they pass (players must try not to scream!). Once you have been grabbed by the shark, you must then hide with them. The last person to find the shark is the new shark.

How to Play :
In this variation of sardines, instead of having just one person hide, a team of people hides. You also need a fairly big playing area with lots of good hiding places. First split into equal teams of hiders and seekers and then choose an area which will be the jail, such as under a tree. The seekers count to 60 with their eyes closed, whilst the hiders rush off to hide in individual places. When a seeker finds a hider, they are taken and placed in jail. However a hider can release them by sneaking up and touching them. The hider is then free and can rush off to hide again. However if they are caught again then they are out of the game. The game is over when all the hiders are in jail. You could also set a timer, like 10 minutes so that the game doesn't go on forever and so that the hiders can win sometimes.
