Touchy Feely Game

by Emma HUTCHY
(Ireland)

-- Kids Party Game --

Indoor/Outdoor game

What you need:
A big cardboard box
Food items to put inside

How to Play:
Get a cardboard box and cut a hole in it just big enough to put your hand in.

Then you put items in the box such as Spaghetti, carrots etc. Then a player must put their hand through the hole and try and guess what the objects are.

If they get them all right (or they were the one/ones who got the most correct) they would get a treat/prize.

Nicole's Comments:
Thanks for the great game Emma. I wonder if the cardboard box would get a bit messy inside! One alternative is to have smaller boxes and have one item per box. You could also put the item on a plate inside the box if it was particularly gooey such as jelly or spaghetti.

Or if you don't have enough boxes just use plastic bags. Guests then have to place their hand inside the bag and guess what is in it.

SKIN THE CAT - Halloween Game
by: Annie

My grandmother taught my mother this game ~ she called it "Skin the Cat" and it was a Halloween party game - They used stuff like olives for eyeballs, spaghetti for intestines, leather for cat skin, jello for guts, a rope for his tail, a peeled plum for his heart, etc. Use your imagination! Then you put your hand inside a large mixing bowl that was passed around from person to person underneath a table (with a tablecloth on it so you couldn't see what was in the bowl, (ruining the effect.) Each time the "witch" changed the stuff in the bowl, she'd say, " hee hee hee -I skinned the cat... and these are his... eyeballs"(or whatever)and then everyone would pass the bowl under the table and feel the stuff and gasp or make comments (eew! gross! etc.) Warning: I did this once for my 10 year old son and his friends (he is 22 now) - it was GROSS and most of them LOVED it, but a couple of them still cross over to the other side of the street when they see me coming!
