Method :

  1. Preheat the oven to 220C/ Gas mark 7.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and unroll the pastry.
  3. Sprinkle on a generous handful of cheese and then fold the pastry in half.
  4. Roll the pastry so it is 1/2cm thick.
  5. Sprinkle on more cheese and then very lightly press it down with your hand or the rolling pin so that it sticks to the pastry.
  6. Cut the pastry into thin strips roughly 7 cm long and 1 cm wide.
  7. Carefully twist each strip a few times and then lay on the baking sheet.
  8. Optional : Sprinkle with a little salt and paprika.
  9. Cook in the center of the oven for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Leave to cool, then pop them in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

How about: Spreading a little marmite on the pastry instead of cheese. Or maybe have both!
